So, to be fair, I did not come up with this recipe. I just adapted it. I originally found this recipe online. I believe it was called “The Roast That Broke The Internet.” It also became quite famous on the talk show circuit. The creator was pure genius, but she just called it Mississippi Roast. I tried the recipe with a roast and it was definitely good. Then I tried it with a flat iron steak and I thought it was amazing.
Here are the ingredients:
- One Flat Iron Steak
- One Ranch Dressing seasoning packet
- One au jus gravy mix packet
- Several pepperoncinis and some of their juice
Cook in the crockpot on low heat for 7 hours. Delicious! Sometimes we eat it like a taco with corn tortillas and avocado, and sometimes we eat it with sides like green beans and potatoes. Either way its easy and delicious. Definitely give it a try.
