For years I have been threatening to get a live Christmas tree and set it on my back deck. There is a story floating around that my husband was allergic to live Christmas trees when he was young. So, I haven’t wanted to test that theory and have one inside, but I thought the back deck might work. I just never seem to get around to it.
This year, however, I saw these cute little potted Christmas trees at Kroger and I snatched them right up. I am hoping I will be able to plant them at some point and decorate them for years to come.

I ended up putting them on a deck box instead of the nearby table like I had imagined, but I can still see them through the windows in the back. Honestly, they were super cute without any decoration, but I have never decorated live Christmas trees and I wanted the experience.

I didn’t do anything elaborate; I just used what I had. I added some pine cones and a pine cone garland to each tree. Then, I placed some gold and silver balls. Finally, I had these cute little brush bears and paper stars I added.

I did buy a set of battery operated outdoor twinkle lights I found at Target and added those to the trees. I also still have pumpkins, so they got added as well. What do you think?
