If you are like me, and you have reached your limit on homeschooling and news consumption, then I have some ideas for you. Maybe you just don’t care who is reading children’s books on Facebook and you are looking for a creative outlet to keep you busy. Well, I feel you. So, at the risk of sounding like those cheery people with their lists of things I can do with my kids to make everything better, here are some things you could paint while you are stuck at home.
1. Artwork For Your Walls
If you have or can buy acrylic paints, then you could try pourings or acrylic skins. Both of these ideas are super fun and yes, my kids love them, so you could definitely involve the kiddos.

Even if you don’t have acrylic paints, I bet you have a stash of old house paint samples in your garage. Just use that instead. Here is a large piece my kids and I finished doing just that.

2. Update a Piece of Furniture
Do you have a piece of furniture sitting around that you have been looking at for some time? For instance, you might be thinking that one day you are going to give it a whole new life. Then, maybe today is the day.
Here are some pieces of furniture I have painted over the years.

3. Paint Part of Your House
If you are really desperate for something to do to make this time at home productive, you can always work on part of your house. For example, I have been meaning to redo my laundry room for years and I’m hoping to get started on that in the very near future; but, in the mean time, here are some other house painting projects to consider.

Okay, there you have it, then. That should keep you busy for about two years. However, let’s hope it doesn’t last that long.
Admittedly, I could probably do all of these projects with supplies I currently have on hand, but if you are needing supplies, Michaels’ and Home Depot have managed to stay open in our area. Michaels’ is doing curbside pickup and Home Depot is doing deliveries in our area.
